Graphene and Semiconductors
Graphene is the strongest material and it is a form
of carbon consists of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal
lattice. It is the basic structural element of allotropes of carbon, such as
graphite, charcoal, carbon nanotubes and fullerenes. It also efficiently
conducts heat and electricity
Semiconductor is a material in which the electrical
conductivity value falls between that of a conductor, such as copper, and an
insulator, such as glass. Quantum
dots are very small semiconductor particles, only
several nanometers in size, so small that their optical and electronic
properties differ from those of larger particles.
